The Australian High Commission is looking to recruit a suitable, qualified and experienced Senior Program Manager in the Governance Section to contribute to the implementation, management and promotion of Australia’s development program in Solomon Islands. As the Senior Program Manager, you will work closely with Australian staff to oversee and manage Australia’s Governance Program, provide advice on policy and strategy development, work with aid data management systems, and contribute to the broader work of the High Commission. You will liaise with other Australian Government Departments and several Solomon Island Government Ministries. With a keen eye for detail, you will contribute to and edit analytical reports and financial information.

Expression of Interest for Domestic Services (Hourly rate of $20.77)
The Australian High Commission (AHC) is looking for suitable and experienced domestic staff(s) to provide domestic services and care for primary school-aged children.
Services required are, but not limited to:
- Managing general running of household and keeping all areas of household clean and well maintained
- Undertake cleaning, tidying, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping as needed
- Undertake laundry, including clothes and bedding
- Supervise house maintenance and contractors as required
- Purchase household supplies and undertake grocery store and market shopping
- Prepare and cook family meals
- Transport children between school and home (driver’s licence highly desirable)
- Supervise children after school, including with homework and other activities, and
- Other duties as directed.
Conditions and Remuneration:
This is a full-time position. The hours of duty will be from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Additional evening and weekend childcare work may be required.
Payment will be based on time actual worked at an hourly rate of SBD20.77, paid retrospectively on a fortnightly basis. National Providence Fund contributions of 7.5% are also payable.
Requirements:
The domestic staff must:
- Be available for some additional evening and weekend childcare work.
- Comply with all the security measures and protocols to ensure safety of the properties and residents
- Have a high standard of integrity and discretion
- Obtain a Solomon Islands police check/medical clearance if selected
- Be physically fit to undertake duties

The role will provide support to the property management team, who are seeking an individual who can commence immediately.

- Demonstrated professional/technical skills in property maintenance/handypersonwork
